Music Music

Ah The topic of music

What's good, what's not, What's hot, what's rot.

Well i'm interested in hearing from everone what their fav bands, solo artists are, and maybe why.

I enjoy Steven Curtis Chapman, A good form of soft rock/country style music, and also Michael W Smith. Both are greatly alot of fun along the christian Genre.

I also enjoy DJ Sammy, and Moby, in the Dance music (Slower then most, and a bit more happy/mellow styled music).

Occasionally I like some of Linkin Park, a "small" mix of Ramsteins du hast, and some various artists, like P.O.D. and Puddle Of Mud.

Then of course there's Michelle Branche, Avril Lavigne, and Ashlee Simpson. Good variety of mixes to!

Also I've checked out a few rap artists from time to time, nothing much of an interest in the rap field. However, occasional Eminem, and similarily inclined artists are not to bad (when I think of eminem, i'm thinking his earlier work).

So the question I put to the C&C group, and all who read this.

What music do you like? I won't go "ewe, britney spears" if you like her music, hehe. I actually like some of her "earlier" works also. And I will always enjoy Aqua! :)

Hi From Mirimache!

Just thought i'd add in that, yesterday I went biking, and toured around, had a feel for the area, And I did take alot of photo's, however some I have to edit to try and make a wide screen picture (panoramic I believe it is).

Here's the bike i'm borrowing,

And this is a photo of a Catholic Church I saw during my ride also.

St. Michael's Basilica

(Just checked the name of the church out).

I haven't been inside yet, but definately looks great from the outside appearence!

Windows XP Sp1 Installed!

Yep, I've started on windows xp service pack 1, have my video drivers setup, basic updates, nothing to much, however, this will take 2-3days for me to "get back " to my old settings, from the failed setup of vista (well it worked, just it was like trying to play mac and windows 95, together....felt strange... and just didn't opperate properly anyways).

Bonus for today, i'm going to tour around Mirimache, (not certain of spelling), and i'll be biking, getting various pictures from various locations. And probably will post them here in a few hours or so. (or tommorow, if i'm going to be mega working on this pc alot, hehe).

And i'd love to hear how things are going out west, weather wise, life, how is, or was C&C tonight? (depending on when whomever reviews this!).

And i'm thoroughly getting tea/coffee, seems my grandparrents have tea, at least 2-3 times a day, occasionally 4 times. Though it could be a tad "stronger", and the same goes for the coffee, but i'm not complaining, it's enjoyable still.

Picked up the other day, more food supplies from the all wonderful M&M Meats! For those who are vegetarians, I appologize if this might seem "unfair" to describe, but hey, I picked up about 8 "single meals", 4 sets of 2 meals each. I believe, Sheperds Pie was there, lasagnea, fettituni alfredo, and I forget what else. Some good food though, plus the tradtitional Kraft Dinner as well.

Also, I wanted to mention that the bike shop here, nothing like some professional canadian tire, or similar. It's actually someone's garage, where they have bikes by the dozen's lined up, parts all over the place, greasy hands to greet you, and a big grin to top it off. Yep, definately in a small town now, had my grandparrents bikes tuned up, fixed breaks, and air pumped into the tires, etc. And instead of having the bike on the ground, or hoisted up with some mechanical device. They just rigged 2 tire tubes (deflated) on one of the cross beams of the garage, to loop around the handle bar's, (both ends of the tubes if partially stretched accross something), and one to loop around the bike seat. And the bike is literally suspended mid air, light as a feather, easy to move around and look at. These guys might look like they never went to college or university for mechanic's knowledge, but they could tell you what's what, And how to fix it, in any style of terms, any manor of discussion as if they were born with the knowledge and experience.

The tide, ah yes, the lovely tide of the ocean, rolls in every so often, rolls out yet again, and it is beautiful. The sea air, the breeze, the random rain storms, I miss the maratimes. And well, I hope I don't stay here, I do wish to return to calgary at my planned return date, August 16th. However, I still don't know for sure, if i'll miss being here.

A recent book i've started reading, was "Dinner with a Perfect Stranger" or something like that. As i've started to read into it, it's basically about an individual who is invited to a "surprise" dinner with this "Jesus of Nazareth" dude. (Of course we know who he is, however the individual believes it to be a spoof or something, the character, and so forth). But you get to learn all that in the first few pages anyways. I am still reading into the book, probably 30-40 pages into it. However It's very amazing, and yet, feels as if so far, the Jesus character is being portrayed correctly!

Well I better be off, I have to reboot the pc, my sound drivers are now installed. So i'll catch ya'all later. (Pray that I bike well, I haven't been on a bike for a year, though I am sure it's still easy, lol )

Shoot my pc and call me stupid

The title says it, and vista sucks. Sorry to be blunt but I must.

Windows Vista, release date, possibly january 2007. If I was the CEO of microsoft, i'd demand it be released now  to lose billions in opperating system returns, or release it in 2010. That's correct, 2010. They need that much more work to be done on it. The beta 2 release is just that, it's beta 2, buggy to the brim, and slows the pc down so much you wish that having everything turned off (filters, fading effects, blah blah blah) would fix it, while... low and behold I do have those off, and my pc is rated #2 on a 1-5 scale, and I thought i'd fit the 0.5 range... amazingly.

I highly recomend if your going to try the vista beta 2, jump off a cliff first. Vista beta 2 isn't a beta, it's a "pre-alpha". Alpha is before beta in any game or program testing phase, while pre alpha describes vista beta 2.

I sent off a "feedback form" to microsoft, I didn't quite hold my tongue 100% in some specifics. However, I was mildly polite... And that's just a friendly note to microsoft about their failed product in my views.

So, if ever you think of making a new pc, and consider that windows xp is to old. Never is, never will be, always use it, vista is www.shootwindowsvistatopieces.com (no idea if that's a website, but don't click it, just an expression I use, www.i'mannoyedatwindowsvista.com example).

Anyways, i'm off to reformat back to mr windows xp home. Partial glitches here and there, but I can work with them...

That's my review of beta vista.

Doing Well, Great Food, Great Service! (And New OPp System to)

Hi all,

Just thought i'd fill you in, in the next few days i'm going to try out biking, something I think is named excercise. I hear it's the latest rave! hehe.

Digital Camera Pictures are coming along very well, and I plan to collect a dozen or more by tommorow evening.

Also, wanted to mention, i've setup the pc to be ready to try out WINDOWS VISTA BETA 2. It was released by microsoft a week or 2 back, and i'm going to try it out! So my pc might be "out of commision" for a few days, if theres some hiccups, so i'll be blogging later on. Just thought i'd fill you in though!

Ciao
